Man Utd striker Ronaldo makes contact with Real Madrid

Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has offered himself to Real Madrid in order to escape Old Trafford.

Ronaldo revealed he felt United had betrayed him in a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan last week.

And amid the fallout of the interview, Ronaldo has now offered himself to Real Madrid on a six-month contract, says Sport.

The Spanish outlet claim Ronaldo wants to return to the Spanish giants as a replacement for the injured Karim Benzema in January.

Benzema was forced to pull out of France’s World Cup squad after picking up a thigh injury – though Didier Deschamps confirmed he would not be calling up a replacement for the Ballon d’Or winner.
