RFEF president admits Enrique has rejected Premier League offers

Spanish federation president Luis Rubiales admits Luis Enrique resisted offers from England to take charge of the national team.

The likes of Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked with the former Barcelona coach.

Enrique is now preparing Spain for their World Cup round of 16 tie.

“Luis Enrique is a top coach, who took up a lower financial offer and rejected attractive offers from English clubs,” Rubiales told AS.

Enrique’s contract expires after the current World Cup.

“We will talk to him after the World Cup to assess the work that has been done and he has freedom if he wants to leave. I am really grateful to him.”
