A number of Premier League stars – including Manchester United’s Antony – have shared their emotional reactions to discovering their inclusion in the Brazil World Cup Squad.
Brazil national team coach Tite announced his 26-man squad that he would be taking to Qatar later this month and there were 12 players from England’s top-flight included.
With the World Cup a momentous occasion in any players career, a number of stars took to social media to share the moment they found out they were going to Qatar.

Manchester United winger Antony shared the heartwarming moment that he – and his family – found out that he’d been included in the squad.
The former Ajax star shared a video on social media sat with his family – all dressed in Manchester United tops though Antony is in a Brazil shirt – awaiting the announcement.
When his name is read out, his family burst into celebration and hug. The United No 21 has a strong embrace and becomes emotional as he comes to terms he’ll be featuring in his first World Cup.
The winger only made his national debut in the World Cup qualifiers in October last year so it’ll be his first major competition where he’ll be representing his country.

Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes had a similar reaction to discovering he was picked for the squad, which was also shared onto social media.
The former Lyon midfielder is sat and dressed in a Brazil shirt with his family accompanying him as he awaits his name to be read out.
When it is, the Magpies midfielder rejoices – with his new-born son in his arms – at the news he’ll be heading to Qatar.

Tottenham – and former Everton – forward Richarlison was the third Premier League star to share their reaction onto social media.
The Spurs forward sits in a room with his family and his head on his knees – unable to look at the screen given the growing pressure.
Once his name is announced, the striker jumps up and celebrates with his family who all scream and shout in joy.

There were a number of noticeable omissions from the squad including a number of Premier League stars.
Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino missed out given Brazil’s depth in attacking quality while Aston Villa’s Philippe Coutinho was ruled out of the World Cup after sustaining a thigh injury in training. Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes was also unlucky to miss out given his impressive club form.
Flamengo forward Gabriel Barbosa – better known as Gabigol – was left out the squad along with Atletico Madrid forward Matheus Cunha and Newcastle midfielder Joelinton.
