Villarreal coach Unai Emery expects a major test against Real Sociedad.
The Basque manager emphasised that the Submarine are ambitious and want to beat Real Sociedad on Sunday.
He said: “This team is ambitious and always wants to win. We know that we are playing against a direct rival, again away from home. It’s a huge challenge.”
Emery assured that both Real Sociedad and Villarreal have the same objectives, and predicted a very entertaining game: “Just like us, they aspire to European positions and want to have a good run in continental competition. In recent years we have had a similar trajectory.
“What’s more, we are two teams who, despite having different approaches, aim to have the ball and get it back as quickly as possible. We want to win and we are motivated.”
